On behalf of the Jefferson Park Neighbors Association, I want to thank Reggie Hines for being such an important part of our jazz brunch last weekend. Because of your generosity, we were able to raise money that will go into our general fund for beautification and charitable projects in our neighborhood. We are very appreciative.
I've received so much positive feedback about Reggie's performance at the brunch and I know that those who attended enjoyed themselves tremendously. People were squealing with delight and singing along with some of his tunes. Reggie even invited one lady to sing along with him and that really got the crowd going. It was Saturday night, 9/22/07, when I had my first experience of Reggie Hines and his band.
I am from a small town in NW GA and took my cousin down to ATL, Cafe 290 for her birthday. I wasn't sure when we walked in if i had chosen a "good" spot. I told her we wren't going to the hip hop club, we're gonna hang out with the grown folks. You guys were on break, so I started getting scared lol.......But then the band took the stage....
Thank you for making my first experience with a live band such a wonderful one. I will be back to see u guys on the 6th and will bring more people with me. Your show is not one to be missed! Hope to get ahold of one of those cd's before they sell out this time!
